A man from Albany pleaded guilty on Friday to illegal possession of a firearm, said US Attorney Antoinette T. Bacon of the New York Northern District Justice Department in Albany.

Jahmeek Croley, 33, who had previously been convicted of drug and weapon offenses, admitted that in 2019 he was carrying a semi-automatic pistol at his home in Albany, the DOJ said.

The pistol Croley bought from an unknown individual in October 2019 was stolen from a Vermont home in 2015, the DOJ said.

The DOJ said Croley was arrested in November 2019 as a result of a police operation that targeted the Yard Boys street gang.
