Paytm users will have to pay a 2% fee on the value added to their electronic wallet by credit card.
Until now, users had to pay a 2 percent fee if they loaded more than Rs 10,000 into their e-wallets via credit card in one month.
“A nominal 2 percent fee applies when adding money using a credit card. The nominal fee is applicable as we pay high fees to your bank when you add money using a credit card. Use UPI or debit card to add money for free, ”said a message when customers tried to add money to their Paytm wallet by credit card.
Paytm is also offering an offer, in which users will receive a 2% refund of up to Rs 200 when adding a minimum of Rs 50 using a credit card, according to the message.
A spokesman for Paytm Payments Bank said customers have the flexibility to add money to Paytm’s wallet from any preferred funding source, including UPI, net banking and cards.
