Capital Credit Union promotes Smith
BISMARCK, ND (January 13, 2021) – Sean Smith was recently promoted to vice president of legal and risk management at the Capital Credit Union Headquarters.
In this role, he will monitor new and existing regulations to ensure compliance with credit unions’ policies and provide legal support for reviewing contracts and disclosure requirements. He will also oversee the Capital Credit Union’s Legal, Collection, Compliance and Banking Secrecy Law departments.
Smith graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2008. He has been with Capital Credit Union since 2017, most recently as an internal lawyer at the headquarters.
