She is a registered mediator, researcher and governor, with a governance portfolio that includes iwi (Te Kotahitanga or Te Atiawa), business and health.
Kopu has guided clients on disciplinary matters, as well as issues involving personal complaints, restructuring and dismissals.
She also conducted investigations into allegations of intimidation, sexual harassment, discrimination, suspected alcohol or drug use, reputation concerns and policy violations in organizations such as banks, retail, religious organizations, Māori organizations, education and charities.
In his career, Kopu appeared before the Labor Relations Authority, Labor Court, District Court and Superior Court.
