KATY, Texas A major gas leak caused road closures and evacuations in Katy, Fort Bend County sheriff’s deputies said on Wednesday.
MPs said FM 1463 is closed from Cane Island Parkway to Spring Green Boulevard. A nearby Kroger and adjacent areas are being evacuated, according to the FBCSO.

Fort Bend Hazmat has been called to the location that Katy’s Fire Department is investigating.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.
