Kingston’s The Tragically Hip donated over $ 40,000 (and counting) from the sale of its “Courage Masks” to the Unison Benevolent Fund’s Financial Assistance program, according to an announcement released today. “We want to thank all of you who bought Courage masks to support the Unison Benevolent Fund. With your help, we have raised more than $ 40,000 so far to provide ongoing emergency financial relief for musicians and staff members during the COVID pandemic, ”said The Tragically Hip. “Until we finish, please continue to follow the guidelines of the public health authorities. Unison expressed its gratitude to The Hip for their generous donation and to all donors, saying “No donation is too small; any amount will be greatly appreciated and will help Unison look after the Canadian music community during this difficult and rapidly changing situation. “
