Bachelor Nation is calling Rachel Lindsay to add another role to her resume, and she could be in it. On February 22, Us Weekly magazine revealed that Lindsay would have been approached by The bachelor Production to discuss the possibility of hosting the special “After the Rose” of the season.

“ABC and Warner Bros. spoke to Rachel about the possibility of presenting the special ‘After the Final Rose’ and would like her to take the role,” said a source Us Weekly. “She is still weighing the options and is pushing for ‘After the Final Rose’ to include a broader conversation about the overall race in the franchise. No final decision has been made yet.”

Although nothing has been announced, Lindsay has been a popular choice to the new host after Chris Harrison’s announcement that he is temporarily abandoning their role as host. The franchise’s first Black Lead became a special correspondent for Extrahost Ghosted: Love Gone Missing by MTV, ESPN’s First take, a radio program called Football frenzy, and co-host the podcast Single Happy Hour with former maiden Becca Kufrin. So, she has the skills to do the show. But if there’s one thing that Lindsay doesn’t have to do, it’s pose as the figurehead of the franchise after having made another mess. Lindsay has consistently said The bachelor franchise to look hard at herself since she accepted the title of Maiden, even calling how badly his ending was treated compared to that of his predecessor. A predecessor whose fiance was revealed to be liking all kinds of prejudiced posts online!

I commend Lindsay for wanting to help the franchise that took her to her husband, Bryanbut she more than deserves a break. It need not be a “reminder” that The bachelor it was “different” before; she is more than her character and would probably be better served if she took this as a tip to find her peace away from the franchise.
