Swedish finance minister says recovery “pause” to linger through Q1 – About Your Online Magazine


STOCKHOLM, February 23 (Reuters) – Swedish Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson said a slower recovery phase in the global economy is likely to last until the first quarter amid a high level of COVID-19 infections and related restrictions . “I think we can expect the recovery pause to continue in the current quarter as well,” Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson told a news conference.

She also said that the Swedish government would extend and intensify support measures to alleviate businesses and families during the pandemic. (Reporting by Johan Ahlander and Niklas Pollard)
