White Hall farm hosting Draft Horse Field Day – About Your Online Magazine

WHITE HALL – Gregory Farm in White Hall will host the 2021 Draft Horse Field Day starting at 9am on Saturday.

This is the first time in 16 years that the Percheron Horse Association of America has held the event in White Hall.

The free event is being held in conjunction with the 200th anniversary of the Esarey family history. The farm was founded in 1821 by Colonel Charles Gregory. It worked as a breeding operation for Percheron for many years.

Gregory Farm was the home of Carnot 66666 (66666), main father of the herd of W.S. and Eugenia “Genie” (Gregory) Corsa, at the beginning of the 20th century.

Teams of draft horse plows from various states will demonstrate.

Concessions including Jacksonville Dream Center Concessions and Ernie and Deb’s Kettle Corn will be available.

The farm is 1.6 km south of White Hall, on the west side of the United States 67.

Questions about the event can be sent to Laura Dukett by calling or texting 217-341-5084 or sending an email to ldukett@gmail.com.
