East Carolina’s top striker Jayden Gardner announced on Monday that he is moving to Virginia.
Gardner was the first selection at the All-American Athletic Conference this season, when he averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in 19 games (18 games).
“This was a difficult decision for me, but I just want to thank God and my family for helping me make a decision,” said Gardner on Twitter. “It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to play for ACC and fight the best of the best.
“With that said, I will be committing myself to the University of Virginia.”
