Haryana’s schools will remain closed to classes 9 through 12 from April 19, 2021, due to the increase in COVID 19 cases in the state. The state government will further decide the situation based on the circumstances. The decision to close Haryana schools for students in grades 9 to 12 was announced by Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar recently.
The recent tweet from the state education minister states: “In view of the increase in Coronavirus infection, classes from the ninth to the twelfth in Haryana state will be closed from Monday.” All schools will be closed for the next two days. The government will soon issue notification for the same. Schools from the first to the eighth classes are already closed until April 30th.
Previously, the Haryana government decided to cancel the 10th HBSE exams, to postpone Class 12 exams until a later date. The decision on HBSE class 12 bank exams will be made later, considering the situation of COVID 19 in the state.

The state education minister added that the government will make other decisions according to the situation that follows. He called on everyone to follow the COVID 19 SOP guidelines to prevent the virus from spreading.
The state government also ordered the entire school administration to strictly follow the rules. Students should continue to visit the official government websites for further updates. From now on, Haryana schools for grades 9 through 12 will remain closed from April 19 until further notice.
