Speaking for TMZ Sports, Davis gave a warning to Barkley, telling him that he has to be careful when returning from an ACL injury and not trying to do too much.

“For me, I tell players that they come back from injury sometimes you have to protect yourself,” says Davis. “And what I mean by that is that we are very competitive and we want to go back and meet the deadline. So if the doctor says it’s a six-week or six-month recovery, whatever’s on our minds is, “I’ll be back in half that time. I’ll be back in three weeks or three months.’ ”

The Giants are confident that Barkley will still be the same impact player when the team summoned him to second overall in the 2018 draft by taking your fifth year option Last week.
