SteelSeries Moments software can capture and edit your gameplay – About Your Online Magazine

The PC peripherals manufacturer hopes to make sharing gameplay clips easier for the end user.

It can be frustrating to experience a unique or exciting moment while playing a game and not being able to record and share with friends or an online community. SteelSeries, famous for its variety of mice, keyboards and other gaming peripherals, hopes to make this frustration a thing of the past with the new Moments software. Moments can help players easily capture, edit and share game clips.

SteelSeries Downloading Moments is free and is fully integrated into the company’s new GG platform. GG is a software package that brings together the full range of products that SteelSeries users may want or need to get the most out of their PC gaming experience. It houses the Engine, the program that offers detailed mouse and keyboard configurations, RGB lighting adjustments and macro programming. GG also offers users access to the latest SteelSeries gifts and promotions.

The Moments package offers the following functionality:

  • Clip – Moments uses a custom shortcut key to easily capture game highlights as they happen. It offers screen capture and game options, as well as the ability to capture clips while streaming. Moments works with all the best video games, all three major GPU manufacturers and automatically records gameplay without delay.
  • Edit – Once a game is over, the player can easily review and rate all of his recorded clips in the Moments Gallery. An advanced video editor within the app allows for non-destructive editing for the start and end slates, as well as the ability to add video effects such as text overlays and GIFs from Giphy. In addition, players can always revert to the original clip that was created.
  • Share – To facilitate sharing, Moments allows players to upload their clips directly to YouTube and Gfycat. Other options include easy drag-and-drop sharing to other channels or direct messages (DMs), including Discord, Reddit, Twitter and Facebook, with more channels coming soon.

Enhanced support for specific games will also allow you to automatically crop the most exciting moments from your favorite titles. At launch, Moments offers automatic clipping with League of Legends, CS: GO and Dota 2. Support for Valorant and Fortnite will be available at a later date. Interested players can take moments on the SteelSeries website.
