Windsor-based real estate office hosting school supplies drive for Weld RE-4 students – About Your Online Magazine

The work to help public school students doesn’t end when summer begins.

And while some Windsor and Severance students may be enjoying a break before summer school starts, a local partner from the Weld RE-4 school district is looking into the fall with a school supplies campaign on Friday.

Windermere Real Estate on Fourth Street in Windsor will have 13 agents and employees in the Weld RE-4 School District parking lot from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Friday to collect items for the ride. The district office is located at 1020 Main St. in Windsor.

Windermere is a 49-year-old Seattle-based real estate company with offices in the Western United States and Mexico. Each year, Windermere’s US offices close for a day and agents devote time to community service.

The Windermere Foundation was created in 1989 to help low-income and homeless families, and the North Colorado Windermere Foundation has partnered with Weld RE-4 since 2019.

“My experience was with child care before I was a real estate agent, and my mother was an educator for 31 years,” said Meaghan Nicholl, associate realtor and real estate agent in Windermere’s Windsor office. “School has been an important part of my life and is a fun way to give back to the community where we live and work. Most of our agents have young children who are part of this district. ”

In addition to the option to drop school supplies at the district office, 24 area businesses and organizations are supporting the day of service by donating meals to agents or hosting boxes where people can drop off donated items.

The foundation is also accepting online donations for the school district at the following website:

Sherry Hoffman, an employee of the Weld RE-4 school district, worked with the Windsor office to find out how the foundation could help the district. In 2019, Windermere’s Windsor-based team carried out maintenance and cleaning for the district.

“School supplies are always a necessity,” said Hoffman, who is the executive assistant to Weld RE-4 Superintendent Dan Seegmiller and the board of education. “Whenever we can provide support to families in need, it’s a victory. Several school materials campaigns have been carried out over the years and these materials are shared by all schools and given when they see the needs of families”.
