RANCHI: The government of Jharkhand on Thursday announced the cancellation of board exams for Grades 10 and 12, conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), in the wake of the COVID-19 situation. “Today, in view of the circumstances arising from Covid-19 and the demand of students and parents, I have decided to cancel the Grade 10 and 12 board exam to be conducted by the Jharkhand Examination Board for this session,” Chief Minister Hemant Soren said.

Earlier this month, the JAC had said that the exams were not canceled and that the cancellation notice that went viral on social media platforms was false.

“The decision on the Jharkhand Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has not yet been made,” he had said.
