Bomb squad called to Bedford gas station after man left suitcase inside – About Your Online Magazine

June 12 – The state police bomb squad was called to a Bedford gas station on Friday night after an official noticed a man had left a suitcase inside.

According to a press release from the Bedford Police Department, a clerk at the Circle K gas station on Technology Drive noticed that a man quickly exited the convenience store and said he had left a suitcase behind. The clerk called the police.

Bedford officers examined the suitcase and decided to evacuate the store and call the New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad.

State police said there was no bomb after carrying out a controlled detonation.

Police did not say what was in the suitcase, saying only that it contained “suspicious material”.

Police said Saturday they had yet to identify the person who left the bag at the convenience store. Police are only describing the man as “suspicious” and have not released any surveillance photos or video of the incident.
