Falcon receiver Calvin Ridley not participating in practice this off season while recovering from foot surgery. Ridley, however, said he is “sure” he will complete his rehabilitation in time for boot camp in late July.
“Was just minor” said Ridley, through Scott Bair of the team’s website. “I can walk and everything now. I’m taking it one day at a time. ”
Renowned foot surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson, a Packers team doctor based in Green Bay, recently underwent surgery in Ridley. Ridley said he fixed an illness that occurred last season, not due to off-season work in 2021.
Ridley has been participating in step-by-step visits and placement meetings as he makes his way back home.
“You just didn’t see me on the field,” Ridley said. “[But] I’m doing normal things. I did an inspection before entering here. I’m right where these guys are. “
the trade of Julio Jones for the Titans elevated Ridley to the No. 1 spot on the team’s large scale. But Ridley, who had 90 catches for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns last season, said he doesn’t feel pressure to keep up with Jones.
